Opened in 1978 as a family business, built in the middle of a green oasis, the hotel is located in the center of Zell am See at the foot of the Schmittenhöhe right next to the ski slope. All rooms, the elevator and the stairwell were renovated in 2016. We are particularly proud of our many regular guests and no travel agency contracts! Our offer is characterized by individuality and flexibility – every guest receives an offer tailored to their needs. A total of 39 rooms and a maximum of 78 guests give us and our well-trained staff plenty of time to cater to individual wishes.
The historic town center with its town square, Gothic church and Vogturm tower is just 200 m from the hotel and a three-minute walk away. Restaurants, stores and cafés invite you to take a stroll through the city. Lake Zell with its lidos and lakeside promenade give the mountain town a special flair.

The Postplatz Zell am See is a 2-minute walk or 200m from the hotel. Once you arrive by bus, simply follow Gartenstraße uptown to the hotel. From Salzburg Airport Terminal, bus no. 260 goes directly to Zell am See (departure every 2 hours)

BY TRAIN:
Zell am See train station is a 5-minute walk or 500m from the hotel. From the station forecourt via Brucker Bundesstraße towards the city center. Before the town hall, turn left up Gartenstraße until you reach the hotel. If required and on request, we will be happy to pick you up from the train station or Postplatz with our hotel bus. Take the Brucker Bundesstraße from both directions to Zell am See Zentrum. Turn into Gartenstraße between the town hall and Spar Markt. The hotel is located at the end of the road uptown. Navigation by car: Sporthotel Alpin – Gartenstraße 11, 5700 Zell am See
The entrance to the house is accessible without thresholds through an automatic sliding door and is very barrier-free for all guests. We welcome our guests in a clearly laid out entrance area right next to the reception desk on the right. Seating is also available there. The floor is fitted with tiles and Persian carpets, and is sufficiently well lit.
All general areas, access, the entrance area and reception, as well as the lobby, restaurant and breakfast room meet the requirements of OIB Guideline 4 “Safety of use and accessibility”! The elevator car has a size of 1.10×1.40m, the elevator door has a clearance of 90cm. There is a movement area of at least ø1.50 m in front of the shaft doors. All stairs and landings have a width of 1.50 m and a handrail on both sides. All corridors have a width of at least 1.60 m, so there is an area of at least ø1.50 m in front of each room. All room doors are designed as fire protection doors with a clearance of 80 cm. All floors are finished with tiles, stone or parquet flooring, some still have Persian carpets, and are sufficiently well lit.
All of our 39 rooms were completely renovated in 2016 in a modern design. The balcony has been built over in some rooms, which have become larger. All other rooms have a panoramic balcony with views of the surrounding mountains and most also have views of the town and Lake Zell.
All rooms are equipped with bath, shower and WC, high-speed WLAN (2020), mini-fridge and safe. All bed linen and towels are washed in-house! For families, there is also the option of using 2 rooms with a connecting corridor as a family suite. One room is 100% wheelchair accessible and has a larger bathroom with grab rails, foldable shower, clothes lift and emergency cord.
The two restaurant areas (breakfast + evening restaurant) are accessible by elevator on floor 0. Smooth floors (parquet / marble) are also laid here. The general toilets in the basement (-1) are not barrier-free.
Our wellness area on level -1 is wheelchair-accessible, but the swimming pool is not equipped with access aids (stair ladder into the pool) and the saunas and steam bath are not barrier-free.
Assistance dogs are allowed in the hotel and are accommodated free of charge. The nearest shopping facilities are 200 m away, the Zell am See public hospital is 4 km away.
The nearest doctor’s surgery is 200 m from the hotel. The owner family lives in the hotel – so someone is on site and available 24 hours a day in an emergency!
Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the hotel and is free of charge.
