In the beautiful Zell am See region you can also have fun away from the slopes, there are many activities for young and old.
In addition to classic skiing vacations, the region offers numerous other winter sports options: With its own ski touring mountain – the Ronachkopf, which is only open to ski tourers and winter hikers – Zell am See-Kaprun attracts all those who prefer to work out their own descent. Just like the two piste ski tours on the Kitzsteinhorn and the tour on the Maiskogel, the Ronachkopf is ideal for first ski tours. For off-piste ski tours, it is best to have an experienced guide at your side.
More than 100 kilometers of cross-country ski trails criss-cross the region and offer cross-country skiing enthusiasts plenty of choice: Skating, classic cross-country skiing and floodlit night trails await you.
Perfectly groomed and cleared winter hiking trails invite you to discover the region on foot in winter too. Enjoy the silence on a long walk or a snowshoe hike and discover the magic of winter. A ride in a horse-drawn sleigh is also particularly romantic.
The toboggan runs in and around Zell am See-Kaprun offer more action: an experience for the whole family! In addition to a ride on the Maisi Flitzer year-round toboggan run on the Maiskogel, night tobogganing is also possible on floodlit toboggan runs.
