Vroni Schwaninger has been involved in golf for 35 years, her daughter Elisabeth also started as a child 23 years ago and knows the courses in the area like the back of her hand. Her partner Stefan is a worthy replacement during Elisabeth’s maternity leave – the next generation is already at the start here too!

The two 18-hole golf courses in Zell am See-Kaprun together form the largest golf course in the Austrian Alps. The spaciousness of the course combined with the breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park mean that both professional golfers and beginners will get their money’s worth.
The Sport & Golfhotel Alpin in Zell am See is the founding hotel of the Zell am See Golf Club. The course is only 3 km (6 minutes by car) from the Hotel Alpin and is one of the Leading Golf Courses Austria. There are three other golf courses in the Salzburger Land golf region within 20 minutes of the hotel.
Zell am See has the largest and probably most beautiful closed golf course in the Alps with two 18-hole championship courses: the “Schmittenhöhe” course and the “Kitzsteinhorn” course. Golfing greats such as Greg Norman, Bernhard Langer and Seve Ballesteros have been impressed by the class and quality of the courses at international tournaments. “Meet the best” – in the 2020 golf year, the Austrian golfing greats Bernd Wiesberger, Mathias Schwab and Emma Spitz will be competing in the Austrian National Championships on our beautiful course. “MEET THE BEST” – the long-standing cooperation between the Schwaninger family and the golf club guarantees an exciting weekend!
The exceptional design, for which Donald Harradine is responsible, the perfect course maintenance and the generously dimensioned practice facilities, including a large driving range, guarantee playing pleasure and enjoyment. The courses are embedded in a park-like, flat terrain with biotopes and lakes and, in combination with the spacious practice facility, offer everything a golfer’s heart desires – for beginners as well as for championship players.
